Williams %R is a momentum oscillator which is similar in construction to the Stochastics Oscillator. The interpretation of the oscillator is similar to the Stochastics Oscillator as well, with the exception that peaks of Williams %R are presumed to indicate oversold conditions whereas minimum values on the chart indicate overbought conditions (this is reversed from the Stochastics Oscillator). Overbought and oversold lines are set at -20 and -80.
Williams %R requires a single input parameter which is the period over which the daily high and low prices are compared to the current day's closing price.
