The ratios section of the fundamental analysis pages provides ratios such as price to earnings (P/E) and price to book (P/B) which are often used to assess the relative value of a stock. Specific data items are as follows:
- p/e - The price to earnings ratio is the latest closing price divided by the earnings per share based on the trailing 4 quarters of earnings.
- p/b - The price to book ratio is the latest closing price divided by the most recent quarter common equity (book value) per share.
- p/s - The price to sales ratio is the latest closing price divided by the sales per share based on the trailing 4 quarters.
- peg - The price to earnings growth ratio (PEG) is the price to earnings ratio divided by the 3 year average projected growth rate (P/E/{3 year %growth}).
