The Percentage Volume Oscillator (PVO) is calculated by expressing the difference between fast and slow exponential moving averages of volume as a percentage. The PVO fluctuates around the zero line with increasing oscillator values indicating increasing volume and decreasing values indicating decreasing volume. A signal line (moving average of the PVO) is superimposed upon the plot and a histogram shows the difference between the PVO and the signal line.
The Percentage Volume Oscillator requires three inputs, one for each of the fast, slow, and PVO (signal line) moving averages, respectively.
