Traditional fundamental analysis doesn't provide any perspective on the true value of a given company. Traditional tools typically present fundamentals as one or more tables of raw numbers (see the example, below).

Stockworm uses new approaches including ranking and valuation

Stockworm takes a different approach to stock analysis. Financial data is first assigned to one of six categories:

  • profile - basic company information (market cap, etc.)
  • profitability - profitability indicators (return on assets, profit margin, etc.)
  • earnings - earnings and past/predicted earnings growth
  • ratios - fundamental ratios (P/E, P/S, etc.)
  • valuation - assessed value of a stock using several techniques
  • sentiment - provides sentiment indicators including analysts' ratings

For every data item within all of the categories, two ranking values are assigned. The first value shows how the data item for this stock compares to the market as a whole and the second value shows how this data item compares to the industry of the stock.

When these ranking values are plotted graphically, the meaning of the raw numbers become easy to interpret: high green bars indicate values which are much better than the same parameter for other stocks in the market (or industry); low red bars indicate values which are much worse than the same parameter for other stocks in the market (or industry).

Please note, that you can change date for which fundamentals are displayed by using the date chooser at the top of the page.
